Sightseeing On Cayman Brac

The Cayman Brac Museum, (345) 948-2622. This charming museum recalls the early history of this seafaring island. Located in the former post office, the museum houses ship-building tools, photos, and even a replica of a turtle schooner. The museum is open Monday through Friday from 9-12 and 1-4 p.m. and on Saturday from 9-12. Free.

The Brac, East Point. This sheer bluff is Cayman Brac's most notable feature and worth a visit by hikers and non-hikers alike. To reach the Bluff, follow the gravel road north off Ashton Reid Road, the island crossroad. The gravel road runs six miles to a lighthouse.

Cayman Brac Community Park, West End. This park includes a short nature trail that identifies about 10 types of indigenous trees. Dedicated by Governor Michael Gore in 1995. Open daily.
